how to copy a table with values of a database of one server to another table of different server?

I am using sql server 2000

A few options
1 Create a linked server (preferably on the destination) and do a insert.
2 Use DTS
3 BCP the data out to a file, copy the file and bcp it in.

For a once off I would try 2
If you want to do it regularly and don't mind impact on the source server and have a good and fast connection then 2 or 1
Otherwise 3 which means you don't need both servers on-line and each can control when it does it's processing.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
SSIS can be used in a similar way.

another way if its for an adhoc need is use OPENROWSET
