How would i write the date format in Oracle using the dates between
June 6, 2012 and August 1, 2012??

Sorry, but these are Microsoft SQL Server specific forums. In SQL Server,

SELECT * FROM yourTable WHERE MyDate BETWEEN '6/6/2012' AND '8/1/2012'

Oracle's default format is DD-MON-YYYY. So just input the dates in that format
