| I have a simple query which preforms a replace within my sql server (2008). The replace just looks for a comma and tries to replace it with an underscore. It works fine when you view the data on the screen, but when I export it to excel and open the file in excel I get a little square box with a ? . I think it represents a horizontal tab. How can I get my sql query to not create a tab within my code. My query is basically this:select cusip, description,REPLACE(description,',' , '_') as 'Desc' from temp1 |

| I think I found a work around. I am just going to concatenated " " around the field and then excel works. Thank you anyway. |
