| Please reply don't know. if you really don't...or wrong post....or anything u like....but please reply.I use MS Report Builder tool to generate reports. Is there any chance that we can upload the report builder (data sets) in to web portal and authorize people to see who have log-in credentials.I can put this way. For example. we have few sql queries to generate some data. Can we create a web login portal, where anyone who uses the credentials online can run the query and see data???Please help. Thanks |

| Yes this can be done; there are examples if you google - this one from MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa964126(v=sql.90).aspx I have also seen more detailed tutorials and walk-through examples. As for security, if you are comfortable with the access security to your portal, you can use a single stored credential to run the reports; in the report settings there is a place where you can pick the type of security - whether to use credentials of the logged in user, or a single credential etc. |
