i am confused between performance of sql server 2008 r2 standard and enterprise. i have two server with same configuration
except one have sql server 2008 r2 standard and other have sql server 2008 r2 enterprise.

now when i run some large query or batch program . it takes a lot of time in standard comared to enterprise.
Please suggest.

Standard and Enterprise editions have the same DB engine.

The difference is in the features offered which can help with performance but core functionality is identical.

Are you sure the configuration is the same?!
