Hi

I am using Oracle SQL developer and am new to the whole thing unfortunately. I have some SAS code that I would like to translate, but I have fallen at the first hurdle!

I would like to output the contents of a table into a new table, in SAS I have used proc contents ... out=... ;

I have learnt today that the describe command is very useful, and give me the information I need, but I can't work out how to get that information into a new table.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You may be better off posting this in Oracle forums like www.orafaq.com

This is MS SQL Server forum and we mostly deal with T-SQL
