| Michael writes "I am running MS SQL Server 2K on a Windows 2000 Advanced Server. I have been trying to set the Proxy agent account to one of my Windows accounts. I have found that I have been able to set it on some of the Servers we have without a problem but I have about 5 servers that we have keep running into an error every time I try to set it. The error is Error executing extended stored procedure: Specified user can not loginI use the same user account on the servers that work against the servers that don't.I have tried making the password blank. I have made this windows user a domain admin. I have made the account a SA admin of the SQL server. I can also log into the machines with this account fine. I have even used the xp_sqlagent_proxy_account. I am at a stump. I have tried to trace it but the trace will not display anything for security reasons. Does anyone have a clue why this is happening. Any information would be great. Thanks" |
