I would like to have 2008 R2 and 2012 installed on my db server. In older versions, you had to install them in chronological order, for ex SS 2000, then 2005. Is this still the requirement?Has anyone had problems with 2008 and 2012 sharing the same server? Thanks. |

I have various flavors of 2008 (200 R2, 2008 R2 SP1, 2008 etc.) side by side with named instance of SQL 2012 on various machines. They all work seamlessly. However, I have always installed 2012 after I already had installed 2008. |
