Hi folks,All our clients have SQL Server 2005 Express. Something that seems to happen often is when there's a power failure (or UPS battery is drained and everything shuts off), SQL Server will not restart when the computer is restarted. Even when trying to restart manually, it won't start. There are no messages in the Event Viewer, even after a manual restart attempt. The only recourse seems to be to uninstall/reinstall the instance and restore a backup.1. Has anyone ever experienced this?2. Is this a known issue which is corrected in SQL Server 2008/2012?Thanks for your time! |
