Hi everyone,I try to install SQLServer2005 and I get the following error: quote: SQL Server Setup failed to obtain system information account information for the ASPNET account. To proceed reinstall the .NET Framework, and then run SQL Server again

Before you install or reinstall, check which versions of .Net you have installed. It is very unlikely that you do not have .Net 2.0 installed. Here is how to find: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318785If you do't have .Net framework installed, download it from Microsoft (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/5a4x27ek(v=vs.80).aspx) and install it. SQL 2005 requires only .Net 2.0, and the link is for that. But you might as well install 3.5 or later version.Edit: Just noticed that the link that I posted takes you to .Net 4.5. You can go to any version you choose to from that page. |
