| Hi All.I ran DTS package by:In Enterprise Manager SQL Server 2000 I extend Data Transformation Services and select Local Packages. In the right side of screen I got list of DTS packages. I right-click on my package and select Execute Package. Now I need inter-up execution. I click Cancel button on Execution Package window but task still executing. What need to do to stop DTS execution?Thanks. |

Open task mgr, find the running dts* process and kill it.

| Hi webfred.That is exactly where I have a problem. I don't know how stop running DTS. At the last time when I click Cancel button on Execution Package and DTS didn't stop during some days I killed whole session through Task Manager. By this way I inter-up DTS execution but almost two weeks my database was In-Restore process. Now would like to stop DTS execution without any problem. Can you explain detail how it to do?Thanks. |

| For that DTS execution I didn't try to stop. Because I would like to stop that DTS without any problem. Like I said in previous post I had problem when I stop DTS by kill Enterprise Management session by open Task Manager from Windows taskbar and click End Task button. Now I don't want stop DTS execution by this way. How to stop DTS execution by other way I don't know.Thanks. |

| Depends a lot on what the package is doing.You may need to kill other tasks via task manager to get it to stop.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
