| Hi,I have one instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition (64-bit) running on windows 2008. Database engine, agent service and browser service shows running in services.msc. I cannot login to this instance without specifying port number 2433. Normally I am able to login through SSMS by giving only computername\instance but cannot login without port number almost every week. When I restart browser service, everything works fine. I don't know why browser service hangs up. Any hoelp.Thanks |
