| Running Windows Server 2003 Standard SP2 64bit and SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard. 8 GB of RAM is installed, page file is set to 4 GB. This server supports our ERP system, Reporting Services, and other applications. Due to some problems we are having Dell support has recommended increasing the page file size and adding memory. My question is related to the Paging File counters % Usage and % Usage Peak. % Usage is showing an average of 27.284. % Usage Peak is showing 100%. Does it make sense for there to be such a difference between those? |

| Set page memory to 1.5 times the RAM as recommended by Microsoft which in your case is 12GB |
