In my company we have around 500 servers where we are using SQL Server 2008 currently but in near future we are going to upgrade it to SQL Server 2012, for this we need to install 2012 version on each and every server which is almost 4 GB in size which takes 2 hours (experimented on my machine) so I am facing two issues (1) size and (2) installation time. Can someone please help me how to minimize these issues? I can keep the file on NAS share and install it from there to all servers to deal with size issue but it will increase installation time since the files were coming from network. Any thought on this would be appreciated.Thank you in advance!Deven |
