| using linked serverSELECT * FROM mylinkedserver.[mydatabase].[dbo].[mytable]requires 10sbut when usingSELECT * FROM OPENDATASOURCE('SQLNCLI','Data Source=myserver;User ID=sa;Password=xxxxxx').[mydatabase].[dbo].[mytable]it lasts for 10 mins and still continueAnyone could explain what I am not doing correctly? thanks. |

| uncertainty on what? if its a frequent process then linked server is the way to go.
