Hi - i installed and configured my production environment on the enterprise evaluation. I now need to move to full standard version before evaluation expires but am unsure of best route. Can i uninstall and install - detach/re-attach db's? will the db's be compatible with standard after being created in enterprise? There must be a supported migration path??

Thanks

You can upgrade directly from SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Evaluation to SQL Server 2008 Standard.

How to: Upgrade to a Different Edition of SQL Server 2008 (Setup)

I have the standard full licence key but this does not work in enterprise evaluation because it is 'higher' that standard. it wont upgrade the edition - the edition needs downgrading, does that make sense?

Did you follow the instructions in the links that I posted?

Yes, the first Link relates to 2012, the 2nd states in the upgrade path table:

SQL Server 2008 SP2 Enterprise =

SQL Server 2012 Enterprise
SQL Server 2012 Business Intelligence

I don't see enterprise to standard
