| We have 2000 / 2005 SP4 / 2008 R2 (Virtual) Servers having some with the vendor applications as all of them needs to move on to Brand New Server which will have 2 - instances such as 2005 and 2008 R2.The reason for still migrating in the new server with 2005 instance was Vendor applications are compatible to 2005 SP4 nature so was the situation. However other databases will be in the 2008 R2 server.Now this is the process to migrate.As what are the FUNDAMENTAL POINTS needs to be kept such that it would migrate from the scratch to the consolidation of these databases. |
