| Alan writes "I have been given a SQL server 6.5 *.DAT file from a company we acquired. All I have been given is this .DAT file. How can I restore it on a 6.5 test system I installed. I have tried creating the devices, stopping SQL server, and replacing the original .DAT file with the one I have. I created a device of the same size as the .DAT file and it marked the database suspect. Also tried to make the device larger and the database stayed in a loading status. Please help. Thanks." |
