                                            | Hi,Just Analysing the Performance for insertion of 2 million records into partioning and non-partitioning table.In partitioning Table it took long time to insert when compare to non partitioning. can i know what is the process behind goeswhile inserting rows into partioning table? |  |

That is, the partition function defines the number of partitions that the table will have and how the boundaries of the partitions are defined.
