| Howard Chung writes "Are there any issues for the following.- Running backup and restore operations both ways between the 2 versions- porting DTS packages from 7 into 2000- any other known issues performing data operations between the 2 versions Also, are there any issues with upgrading from 7 to 2000? If you upgrade, does it keep all data, tables, DTS packages, mappings, etc. or does anything have to be re-created? Also can you install SQL 2000 on a Win NT 4.0 server? Thanks for your help! " |

| You can restore 7.0 to 2000, but not the other way.DTS Packages can be ported from 7.0 to 2000 without issue.Upgrade works fine, you shouldn't have to recreate anything.Yes SQL 2000 can go on NT 4.0-Chad |
