Hi, I am having a problem with our SQL Server. We have a SQL Server, SQL Server 2008 R2 x64; a Database Engine Provider, Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine; and a Link Server. The problem is, every time I test a connection to our Link Server or create a new Link Server, this Error pops up:"The test connection to the linked server failed/Additional InforamtionAn exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch.(Microsoft.Sql.Server.ConnectionInfo)Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0" for linked server "SynergeeExport".OLE DB provider "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0" for linked server "SynergeeExport" returned message"\\mapsvr\PDR_GIS\SFELAPCO_GIS\MODULES\REPORTS\SYNERGEE\SYNERGEE_EXPORT\-JANUARY-2014.MBD' is not a valid path. Make sure that the pathname is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides." (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 7303)"**Note, every part is installed in one machine only.Thank You |

If everything is correctly installed - then your issue is probably the fact that the service account does not have access to that share. |
