Hi all,Has anybody got any knowledge of the Dell Compellent SC8000 and SQL Server disk configuration /installs. I'm being told that the way this disk array works it doesn't matter from a disk performance aspect whether you put the ldf /mdf files on different SAN volumes or not. A properly-configured Compellent writes to RAID10 on its fastest tier of disk and reads from RAID5 (or RAID 6) from the most appropriate tier based on how hot the block is.Does anybody have any experience of this type of Disk Array it seems pretty alien to me not to split the mdf and ldf files.ThanksFrant |
