What data type would I use in SQL to enter a date in the table with the format Day, month, date, year? In other words, I would want to input the following date into a table:Saturday, April 19, 1947 |

You should not be requiring a specific date format to be stored inside SQL Server. Instead use the datetime or datetime2 data types and then your presentation layer (your application) would format the date as necessary.Tara KizerSQL Server MVP since 2007http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/ |
