I have setup a two node cluster for SQL 2K. My question is when you use the OS Services manager, each service has a startup type (manual or auto). For SQL Server services: MSSQLSERVER SQLSERVERAGENT FullTextShould these be set to manual or auto?My suspicion is that they should be manual with the cluster administrator controlling when SQL Server is starting or stopping.TIA solart

I believe these should be left at Auto.-Chad

I'm pretty sure they should be left at auto as well.I don't recall manually starting our services on boot.Michael<Yoda>Use the Search page you must. Find the answer you will.</Yoda>

In our setup we have them set to manual and let the clustering services control startup and such.
