Hello allI am trying to track the root/process that created a mail log in the sysmail_mailitems table. This is for an automatic email that is generated when there is a change in a particular field in one of the tables on the sql server. I have already looked through the jobs and task scheduler, but found nothing related. And my IT Admin tells me there is only one sql server instance, ruling out my suspicion for a second. So my question is.. how do I figure out what caused it? Any other possibilities I can look up?If the question doesnt make sense or lacks information to troubleshoot, please let me know and I will try to provide more details. I am a newbie in this area and any help is sincerely appreciated. Thanks! |

Check for a trigger on the table. If you can't find anything, run a trace to capture the info.Tara KizerSQL Server MVP since 2007http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/ |
