In our production , sql 2008 installed and databases are running on vmware vm. I have databse having table which has almost reached 2 TB physical disk allocated. I want to copy this database tomy DR site which is Azure cloud . but Azure has disk size of 1 TB only . what i can do here , suggest plz. can i span the database on VM to multiple filegroups into 1 TeraByte and backup each file and export to Dr Site which has 1 TB disk.or any option to split database or file ? Please suggest! |

Hi Gbritton, the h/w sizing done already, hence increasing size not feasible now. looking for alternate options ..How about splitting database and disk and migrating to Azure ? if so please explain how to do it.thanks! |
