Marjo writes "Hi:
My sqlserver DB is online for 24hrs. And at present the Restrict filegrowth is 50MB but I want to make it 70MB so is it possible to change it directly or should I stop the DB, change it and then start the DB again??
Thanx in anticipation.
Marjo."

Change it directly. But be aware that file expansion is accompanied by SQL Server activity that I would liken to a format process. This process may temporarily impact queries. So best to pick as slow a time as you can for your online system.
