Does anyone know of an extended stored procedure or a table that can be queried to retrieve job history. Or does anyone know how the job history of a sql job is displayed in the EM

Using EM
In left pane select server
in left pane select management folder
in left pane select SQL Server agent
in left pane select jobs
in right pane select job you are interested in
right click job
select view job history

I know you can do that, but you have to do it manually. Is there any way to query that data from a table? Where does EM retrieve that information from?

I know there is an extended stored procedure (xp_sqlagent_enum_jobs) that will give you a list of the jobs and some basic information on them. I just need to be able to determine, with a query, the job history (more specifically if a job faild).

It's AMAZING what you can find in Books Online...
