| I just performed an in place upgrade from sql 2008 standard to sql 2014 standard.I now have an installation of 2008 that I no longer need. Can I just uninstall it or does 2014 have dependencies on it. What should I do to get 2008 gone? |

| I'd keep it. You never know when it might come in handy. In the meantime, just disable the services it uses |
