Hi guys,Im new to sql server clustering environment. Now we have an issue with sql server 2008 R2 two node cluster on windows 2008 R2.It was working fine earlier and suddenly it was suddenly stopped running from a couple of months. It was identified lately as no one identified after a long time. And unfortunately no old logs also available to identify the cause.I do not find the sql service available in failover cluster manager. Now the current requirement is to place the sql server services back.It would be great if any one can help me to resove this issue. Thanks,Sresti |

I'm so confused. It's been down for 2 months? If the resources aren't available in cluster manager, I would probably rebuild the cluster since it's been so long and you have no idea how corrupted this environment is. Alternatively, you can call MS to see if you can add the resources back.Oh try starting the service from the services applet. That starts it as a standalone instance, rather than a clustered instance. If the service is missing from there, I would start over.Tara KizerSQL Server MVP since 2007http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/ |
