Anyone can help ?

I am distributing rudimentary analysis tools (excel pivot tables) to our functional managers (so we need to keep it simple, distributing passwords is not such a good idea).

How I can when i use of data connector from excel connected to sql table and hide password in excel ?

Because user every open the excel , they must input the admin password is high risk.

the admin password? Are you kidding me? Why not create a sequel user with very limited permissions that can be used to access the data for those pivots?

Agree with gbritton, only allow selects on the tables required. Alternatively, create a Windows AD group containing the users with required access, again setting select permissions on the group level for that AD account.

We are the creators of our own reality!
