I have to move a DB from 6.5 to 7.0.
Two problems :
1) the machines cannot see each other so i tried a backup of the 6.5 and restore in the 7.0 the data was incompatable.
2) Going to try a table by table install DTS export and import.
however I hav image and text data in atleast one table will this cause a problem? If so how Do I over come this?

One way to overcome this would be to install 6.5 on the destination server, restore the backup, and then do an in place upgrade to 7.0. If you go with a table import/export, I think you should be OK with the text and image data as long as you BCP the data out in native format.
