| Right now we are developing a 3-tier DNA based website. We are looking at future scallability issues. For the data layer, using SQL 2000 Enterprise on Windows 2000 Advanced Server - that means looking at the number of servers and processors per server to handle something like 100,000 consecutive users. Can anyone tell me where to begin? Our current configuration is a single quad xeon server w/ 4 gigs of memory, SQL Server 2000 and Windows 2000 utilizing an external array of several Raid 1 pairs for the heavily written tables, t-log, etc.. and a large Raid 5 for larger, heavily read tables.Thanks.David Vaughan |
