hi

we have a app runnig on access and now we have develop a app which run in sql2k now i need to migrate the data from access to sql there is minnorstructure changes . i was wounding which will and is the best way to do this.

I feel your pain

You might be best to import them into holding tables and run some scripts to move them into the right place.

Or, you may be able to transform the data on the fly with a DTS package.... if it is really nasty it may look like this one :



Probably you will need a combination of both.

DTS is a good tool here, you can build packages and workflows and save them to test and tweak.
