Is there an easy way to see how much harddrive space is taken up by a certain database on SQL 2000?--For those with wings, fly to your dreamsIt is all or nothing there is no in-betweenRemember who I was... For me

Use the dir command on the drive and path where the MDF and LDF files are stored.Right-click the database in Enterprise Manager and check the file sizes on their respective tabs.Use sp_spaceused.

It sounds like you assume I have access to the server, but I can only get to it though enterprise manager and the query manager. Can I still do it?--For those with wings, fly to your dreamsIt is all or nothing there is no in-betweenRemember who I was... For me

He gave you three options. So use number 2 or number 3. Number 2 is for EM and number 3 is for QA.

Sorry about the assumption, 99.99% of people using SQL Server do have access to the server. You may even be able to run dir using xp_cmdshell from QA.And you might want to check Books Online for help before posting here.If you did, you might also have found sp_helpdb too.Edited by - robvolk on 01/07/2003 19:36:17
