George writes "Having problems upgrading from SQL7 to SQL2K on a W2K server. I have upgraded several servers with the same CD, but one server is giving me the message cannot run script 1 'messages.sql'. I tried using bug fix #354376 but it did not help. I found something on the web that said to use a blank SA password, I cannot change the SA password nor can I view the properties of the account, or any other login account. I noticed that my server roles have been removed also. Any idea? Any way to restore my server roles?

Thanks for any and all your help.
George"

You can try running that script manually in query analyzer to find out which portion of it is bombing out. It will atleast give you a place to start from.

Hope this helps,

JamesH.
