| Hello,I am trying to install SQL 7 Std. Edtion on Win2k Adv. Server. But the installation aborts abtuptly and throws the following error "Setup failed to configure the server. Refer to the server error logs and cnfgsvr.out for more information". And to add to my grievance I cannot find cnfgsvr.out on my pc. I tried hunting on the net and found one common answer. It says that the startup account of the sql services should have proper privilages. However, I tried to install both with "Local System Account" and "Local Admin Account", but to no success. Can somebody pls. advice. Tx in adv.RegardsNishith |

| Do not use the Local System account option. Specify a real account either on the domain or on the local machine. This account should be an administrator on the machine. If that doesn't help, then you should try installing the software on another machine. If that still doesn't help, then you will probably need to call Microsoft for assistance.Tara |
