| Created domain user id for SQL Server and SQL Server agent services.Services user has administrator auth on server.Installed OutlookInstalled NotesCreated MAPI profile for services useridOutlook worked, Notes worked, SQL Server just timed out.Could send from SQL Server Operator Properties/Notifications Send E-mail button (had to enter notes password to compose Outlook message).Never got it to work -- had to go with SMTP solution.Has anyone got SQL Mail and Lotus notes to work?Will MS and IBM ever get along?No trees were killed in posting this message. However, a large number of electrons were seriously inconvenienced! |

| Notes has to be configured as a POP3 internet mail server. You basically answered the question yourself. You had to enter the password. Since SQLMail runs as a service, there is no one there to enter the password, so it hangs.-Chadhttp://www.clrsoft.comSoftware built for the Common Language Runtime. |
