I'm about to move a very important if-something-goes-wrong-I-get-fired-and-the-company-can't-print-paychecks-anyway database to a brand new server. I've been doing a lot of research, and I think I've got a grasp on it, but I'd really love to find some authoritive single article that covers everything from whether to do detach/attach, synchronizing logins, transferring jobs, full-text indexes, etc. I believe I've assembled the needed knowledge, but it's an important enough project that I'd really like the additional reassurance  .Cheers-b |

| Thanks, Vyas. Definitely some good insights there, but unfortunately I'm moving to a differently-configured server, so a lot of it doesn't apply to me. I will keep it handy, though, as it answers a lot of questions.Cheers-b |
