| I am trying to install SQL2000 SP3 and everytime I click on Setup.exe from the SP folder it is throwing the following error:"A previous program installation created pending file operations. You must restart the computer before running setup. "I have rebooted several times and still same thing happens. I have checked sqlsp.log file and all it states is that installation failed. I am not trying to perform an unattended install but rather attended install . So can anyone assist me with this issue as I need to get this install so that I am not affected with SQL Slammer.thanks,Jay |

| I would visit MS' knowledge base and search on that error: [url]http://support.microsoft.com[/url].Also, if you install service pack 2 and the latest security patch, then you will not be affected by the SQL Slammer.Tara |
