Are you just trying to recover the database or the entire server? Do you have a full backup of the database, how about the server? Fastest way is to attach your database if you have the MDF file. You could also restore your database using your database backup. But I'm unclear as to what the problem is. What exactly is the problem that you are having?

I just looked at your profile and you say that you are a DBA. Don't you know how to recover your SQL Server? That's a fundamental responsibility of a DBA.

Well you didn't mentioned when the OS crashes, so there wasn't enough information to provide the answer.

Here are some answers:

Fastest way would be to failover to the other node in your cluster. Without clustering though, another way would be to fail over to the standby server or recover your log shipped database. There are lots of ways to recover the server, but it depends on what your environment is doing. Clustering is the best way to go because SQL Server can fail over in about 30 seconds. We use clustering AND log shipping.
