Can profiler monitor the physical size of the .mdf and .ldf files on a SQL Server?

We are concerned that our tempdb is filling up the partition it is located in.

I have been looking through the options in profiler and do not see one for monitoring the size of the actual files themselves. The tempdb can grow and shrink alot, if I am not mistaken.

Performance Monitor is the tool that you want to use to track this. Check out the "SQL Server:Databases" counter, then check out the "Data File(s) Size (KB)" and "Log File(s) Size (KB)". Instead of displaying the information in the System Monitor, you could setup an alert so that someone is alerted when these two instances exceed a certain threshold.
