Jobs do not get transferred with the CDW. You can generate the scripts for the jobs by right clicking on them and then running the script in 2000. Jobs are stored in the msdb database and not in the user database.

Yes you can. But I would not use the wizard to do it. I would use the BACKUP/RESTORE commands in Query Analyzer.

Actually system databases are not compatible between the different versions of SQL Server.
If you restore MSDB backup from SQL7 on the new SQL2k server your SQLAgent will not start.

Oh yeah, forgot the question was about upgrading from one version to the next. My answer was related to copying a database to the same version.

Use Enterprise Manager to generate scripts for each job.
Execute the scripts on the SQL2k box.
