Terence writes " I do hope that you could really help me with this one. I'm a student that is working in the computer science department and have a job to administer a MS SQL Server 7.0, under Windows NT environment (SP 4.0). This server runs a website that belongs to an academic organization, and they have been wanting to update their database on this server. They employ a company to generate the appropriate database needed and the company has e-mailed me the *.bak database for me to restore in the server. I tried restoring the database under Enterprise Manager, using from Device as well as just from Database. I encountered this error: "The RAID set for database '' is missing member number 2." I have no prior experience in administering an SQL server and I'm still learning however. I really do hope you can help me with this. All I know is that I need to do the restore to this database for the update, I guess, according to the people in the organization. Please help. I do hope you can send me an e-mail on how to approach this and how do I rectify this problem soon. Very much appreciated." |
