Phil writes "Is there a way, through a trigger or something, that upon a table/SP change or creation SQL mail can generate an email message? If anybody knows a way to do this, can you post a specific message or direction I can look towards for more information?

Why would you want to track this information? Just have the developers notify you are have them upload the changes in VSS and then deploy from there.

You would have to create a trigger on a system table in order to be able to track this, which is highly not recommended.

And you can't create triggers on system tables anyway.

Better to CONTROL the alterations like Tara suggests, than to be notified about them afterwards.

And if you're worried that someone will sneak in a change without telling you, don't give them permissions to create objects, but retain this for yourself.
