 How to avoid High Blocking?

Dear ALL,

I have a ERP Application. But Now there are very frequency Blocking at my sql Server. And the Application have tuning, but no obvious effect.

So I want to tuning My SQL Server System, such as ; hardware, File Group, File position, But now i don't know what can i do at first? how can i find my bottleneck.

Depends what sort of thing you are looking for.
This sp

Will display any blocking and blocked spids and their commands. You can schedule it and have it put the results into a table to monitor what is happenning.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy.

I have do it, and the application is turing by the result. and know , i want to turing others.
