| Christian writes "I has an SQL 7 instaled in one computer and I try to install one SQL server 2000 Eval copy in that computer. The install process fails on start mmc. It trow one message like this:"MPR.DLL - This process don´t can be starte because the memory alocation from c:\win2k\system\kernel32.dll was changed". After this it try cofigure server but another equal err ocur. My SQL 2000 eval was not sucesful and I can´t return to SQL 7 because the same err ocur.My ask are two: 1) What is that err? 2) What I must be do? ( I wish SQL 7 installed against 2000 - if possible)" |

| Yes you can install SQL Server 2000 on a machine that already has SQL Server 7.0. And no it will not overwrite it. I can't understand the error message. Please do not rephrase the error message, please just copy it into this thread.Tara |
