Hi,

Right now there is a table in SQL Server 7 as well as 2000 with more than 300 millions of records. The performace is really slow while accessing the record from the table. IS there a way in SQL Server 7 or 2000 for table partioning which can imporves the performace? If yes can any one please tell me the steps to follow it.

Its very urgent.

Thanks with Regards.

-Mohit.

See partitioned views in bol.
Run tests before implementing though - sometimes the check constraints don't stop the underlying tables being accessed depending on the condition.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
