| Hello, Since our PSoft dbs are being moved to a SAN, the drive letters will change so I would like to know how to change the same for each db's mdf and ldf files. For ex: If a db's MDF is located under P:\Program Files\SQL Server\MSSQL\Data folder, how do I move it say Q:\...so on and so forth.I was thinking of restore command with move option. Is this the right approach? Thanks,Sarat.**To be intoxicated is to feel sophisticated, but not be able to say it.** |

| Yes, restore with move is your safest option. You could also use sp_detach_db and sp_attach_db.But if you are comfortable with the restore command, use that.Damian |
