Hi, I ran an update stats job in a test db and then I killed it because I changed my mind. I ended it in the EM jobs menu and I also killed it specifically in current processes page. sp_who2 shows me the job step as running with current process showing me status as Killed/Rollback. How do I completely terminate this process or can I coz i remember with dbcc reindex - it will run anyway? Thanks,Sarat.**To be intoxicated is to feel sophisticated, but not be able to say it.**

It is rolling back your changes. You'll have to wait for it to complete. In past version, you were unable to KILL DBCC commands, but I think I read somewhere that it isn't true anymore.Tara

Sometimes they get stuck in Rollback (At least in 7.0 they did) and you have to bounce SQL Server to get rid of them.-Chadhttp://www.clrsoft.comSoftware built for the Common Language Runtime.
